I just finished my third Mentally Fit class.
The last module of the class is called ‘The Fire Wheel.’ This section has been notorious for triggering students. It’s about taming technology to amplify our dharma.
It’s hard, because we’re all savagely addicted to distraction.
After feeling their resistance, and reconnecting to how much my life has improved by taming this addiction, I want to share some of the best frames and games I’ve used to write an article almost every week for 14 years.
We all share this digital addiction. The whole world shares it. Whoever in the world you hate most, their children are as consumed by this addiction as your children.
Don’t have kids? You do; its the child inside you that wants to create, play, and connect.
The first fire wheel technique I teach is the ‘Free Your Mind Mod.’
You can do it with a pen and paper, or computer and keystrokes.
If you teach your mind that you have a system that keeps tracks of all your ‘open loops,’ you’ll enter into a new realm of consciousness you won’t believe is real (unless you remember childhood playful, dynamic intuition).
